Gutierrez is part of the "Gutierrez Matriach". He is the son of acting legend and former matinee idol Eddie Gutierrez and former actress turned talent manager Annabelle Rama. His sister, Ruffa Gutierrez, is an actress and a Miss World runner-up, and his identical twin brother Raymond Gutierrez is a successful television host. His half-brothers, Tonton Gutierrez and Ramon Christopher Gutierrez, are also notable actors in the 80's. He is currently studying at De La Salle University.
